TB-Net Statement: 31st Meeting of Chairpersons of Human Rights Treaty Bodies (2019)

The NGO Network on UN Treaty Bodies (TB-Net), which IMADR is a founding member of, submitted a joint statement for the 31st meeting of Chairs of the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies. The statement focuses on four of the key issues of the treaty body system: 2020 Review (treaty body strengthening); Quality, Independent and Diverse Treaty Body Membership; Implementation of the Guidelines against Intimidation or Reprisals (the San José Guidelines) ; and the Financial sustainability of the treaty body system.

CERD 116th session summary: Burundi, Guatemala, Maldives, New Zealand, Sweden and Tunisia

From 17 November to 5 December 2025, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) held its 116th session. During the session, CERD reviewed and adopted concluding observations on the reports of Burundi, Guatemala, Maldives, New Zealand, Sweden and Tunisia. CERD 115th session summary: Gabon, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritius, the Republic of Korea and Ukraine

From 22 April to 9 May 2025, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) held its 115th session. During the session, CERD reviewed and adopted concluding observations on the reports of Gabon, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritius, the Republic of Korea and Ukraine.
